On The Spot: Kobe
Celebrities are always being interviewed. And asked a million questions and always being recorded. Its understandable that sometimes you might say something because it seems like the right thing to do at the time and its easy and it'll be funnyish. And then when you hear an interview of even a snippet or a soundbite and it dings in that deep forgotten part of your brain with all that stuff you know to be true and how to google it specifically so you can see it again. Anyhows, Kobe You're On The Spot.
Kobe was asked what he thought of Russell Westbrook's Style.
" its a generational thing. weird glasses, skinny jeans. I'm glad I wasn't growing up in this generation." -Kobe
When I heard that this is what ding'd in my brain.
All I had to do was Google "Kobe Pilgrim"

Beef Alert: Miranda Lambert hates Chris Brown too
Here at Plus1Press, it's well established that Chris Brown is a tremen-DOUCHE, who should never be allowed on tv, radio or the internet ever again.
So after the Grammy's foolishly invited #fuckChrisBrown to lip-sync not once, but twice, this year and the Grammy voters somehow gave him an award, it was a relief when other musicians weren't shy about expressing their disappointment.
The MVP of Publicly Hating on Chris "My dance moves are as half-assed as my apologies" Brown 2012 goes to Miranda Lambert, who took to twitter shortly after the Grammys.
When Chris Brown hit back (see what I did there?) saying, "HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now!!! That's the ultimate fuck off," Miranda was unimpressed, replying "I just have to speak my mind because where I come from, beating up on a woman is never OK ... So that's why my daddy taught me early on in life how to use a shotgun...I have a Grammy too"
Later that week, while performing at UMass, she held up a sign that said "Take Notes Chris Brown" and then she sang "Gunpowder and Lead" the best song about killing a man that beats up a lady since "Earl had to die."
So in honor of Miranda Lambert speaking for us all, have a listen:

Beef Updates: Taylor vs Kanye and Jonah vs Schu
The Kanye/Taylor Swift saga has been lovingly followed by Plus1Press, and while they've each written and performed songs about how it was a meaningful experience and there's no bad blood, did we really believe? Well, allow me to help you sleep at night. While following Taylor around to write a New Yorker Profile, Lizzie Widdicombe went to the Met's Costume Gala with Swift and witnessed the following incident:
"Swift neared the top of the stairs and froze. She grabbed Erickson's sleeve in a panic: ‘Am I supposed to talk to him or not?” Standing by the door was the rapper Kanye West... Swift hesitated for a second, and then realizing that there was no time to wait for advice, continued walking up the stairs toward West. As she neared the door, he held a hand out, and they exchanged a studiedly casual “down low" high five. When it was over Swift stopped just inside the museum, looking giddy. Erickson let out a breath, and exclaimed "That wasn't bad!" Feeling my eyes on her, Swift didn’t comment on what had just happened. Instead, she said, "I’m so glad I didn’t bring a purse this year! "
High Five! or low five. either way, they coo'.
As for Jonah Hill and Matt Morrison, the beef lives on. Schuester has struck back, saying he'll meet Jonah on Jimmy Fallon and they can settle this. Ew. He did this via a video clip that Jimmy showed. I'd embed it, but it's way lamer than Jonah's real talk, and I'd rather you watch that. I'll let you know when the two come face to face.

Jonah Hill has Beef with Mr. Schu
Jonah Hill is kind of on a roll right now. He's super skinny, and loving it. He has a movie coming out this weekend with definite Oscar potential (I'm seeing it in the next 30 hours, if you're interested), not to mention Brad Pitt. He's starring in his own movie later this fall that looks hilarious. And he is still wicked funny.
Oh, afraid he's not funny, because he's skinny? Wrong. See below. Watch both parts. Try not to choke on your laughter like JV did.
The first 4 minutes are also funny, like getting faked out on a Randy Jackson hug. But if you want just the beef go straight to the 4th minute.
Second half, only gets funnier. This is when he really gets mad.
"Yo Matthew Morrison, you better bring your shit next time I see you, dude. I'd like to see him sing his way out of this one."
Let's hope when these two finally meet up, Ryan Gosling is there to stop the fight.

Seth Meyers destroys Donald Trump
A Plus1Press Publication
Comedy has become a huge force in the political discussion, which is probably why Seth Meyers, Head Writer at SNL and host of Weekend Update, was asked to give a speech at this year's White House Correspondent's Dinner. The 20 minute speech has a lot of great jokes and insights about the current political landscape and the media that cover it.
But the best part is when he rips into Donald Trump's bid for Republican candidacy. The jokes are decent, but what's better are the quick cuts to the table Trump is sitting at. Trump looks like he's been turned into an unhappy stone statue of a bald man in a tupee, and the people right next to him look unamused. But the people who have even just a one person buffer are covering their entire faces to hide the body shaking laughter.
Also terrific is the part of the speech when Seth talks about how much Obama of today would love Obama of 2008. Obama at least can laugh and smile while being mocked. Though it's pretty clear, Obama's favorite joke is "Donald Trump say he has an excellent relationship with the blacks, but unless the Blacks are a family of white people, I bet he's mistaken."
Let's hope Seth Meyers and the other political satirists can keep Trump out of the running, because if he's elected JV and I have promised each other we'll move to Canada. So unless you want to visit us in Prince Edward Island, vote for anyone but Trump.
