He is a member of OFWGKTA.

My Drunk Kitchen with Hannah Hart

This is a phenomena that I have known about for a few months but have never seriously watched until last night, when I watched all of the videos I could find.

Hannah Hart is the hostess of a Youtube channel called My Drunk Kitchen, wherein she gets drizzled and then cooks things. Making jokes along the way and usually dropping the ingredients, Ms. Hart is a pinnacle of American culinary majesty. I hope you enjoy these three examples.

Amazing Spiderman Trailers

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for Dark Knight Rises. But the Heath Ledger-less final chapter of that excellent trilogy doesn't quite have me as amped up as the re-boot of Spiderman. I'm a huge fan of Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, the rest of the cast is great and honestly, it looks a little more fun. I can't imagine Bane's scenes being as fun to watch as the Joker's were.

I could get surprised, but for now, here are the two latest trailers for The Amazing Spiderman, that radically have very different content.

Long Time Sun Shine

I recently heard this Weezer song, and I really liked it, so I did a little research, cause that's how I roll.

Rivers Cuomo wrote "Longtime Sunshine" in 1994, though it wasn't released until 2007.  Of his inspiration Cuomo said, "I started longing for the safety, peace, quiet, simplicity and family structure of my New England childhood. I thought back to one of my favorite memories, lying in the bottom bunk, my brother in the top, in our bedroom in our farmhouse in Eastford, Connecticut, in the hot, hot, summer, 7, 8 p.m., sun still up, but having to go to sleep because it's our bedtime, one of those big box fans blowing, and my parents, Ma and Steve, sitting at our bedside, singing an old hippie song to us, to calm us down and ease us into sleep, "May the Longtime Sun Shine Upon You."

Also the old hippie song, "May the Longtime Sun Shine Upon You" is pretty sweet too, as a folky lullaby. It's actually an old Irish blessing that's become a mantra of sorts, set to many different melodies. This one is my favorite:

Beef Alert: Miranda Lambert hates Chris Brown too

Here at Plus1Press, it's well established that Chris Brown is a tremen-DOUCHE, who should never be allowed on tv, radio or the internet ever again.

So after the Grammy's foolishly invited #fuckChrisBrown to lip-sync not once, but twice, this year and the Grammy voters somehow gave him an award, it was a relief when other musicians weren't shy about expressing their disappointment.

The MVP of Publicly Hating on Chris "My dance moves are as half-assed as my apologies" Brown 2012 goes to Miranda Lambert, who took to twitter shortly after the Grammys.

When Chris Brown hit back (see what I did there?) saying, "HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now!!! That's the ultimate fuck off," Miranda was unimpressed, replying "I just have to speak my mind because where I come from, beating up on a woman is never OK ... So that's why my daddy taught me early on in life how to use a shotgun...I have a Grammy too"


Later that week, while performing at UMass, she held up a sign that said "Take Notes Chris Brown" and then she sang "Gunpowder and Lead" the best song about killing a man that beats up a lady since "Earl had to die."

Michelle Williams for President, or Best Actress, whichever.

Full disclosure, I haven't seen My Week With Marilyn, yet. But I intend to. And I'll be rooting for her come Oscar night, not just because I have faith that she knocks it out of the park as Miss Monroe, but also because I just like her. 

I didn't always like her. She was the bane of Joey Potter's life for a few years, while sporting a particularly bad haircut. However, she went out of her way to prove herself in films after D.Creek wrapped, leading to amazing films like Brokeback Mountain and Blue Valentine. 


Honestly though, it comes down to this. She has handled the loss of her child's father with so much grace that I can't help but root for her. Reporters can't help but ask about Heath and her answers will break your heart.

Sesame Street is for Grown Ups, like me.

Ok, ok, it's for kids. At least, all the puppet stuff is for kids. But the adults, the real live people, those are for adults. I barely remember the live action people from sesame street. I can vaguely remember someone named Maria, but I keep seeing Mrs. Huxtable in my head, even though I'm pretty sure Maria was spoke Spanish.

Anyways, all this to say that Sesame Street has a pretty constant stream of celebrities on to sing songs and explain words, but as a child I was like, that puppet is hilarious when he doesn't understand that tall person. And now I'm like, John Krasinski is so funny and charming!

So in case you don't know the meaning of the words "soggy" or "prickly" or you just like tall actors on critically acclaimed, viewership challenged NBC comedies, here are two clips:

Call Your Girlfriend Dance Off

Robyn is a master of pop-y dance hits (Show Me Love is in my Top 10 of All Time Songs). And her latest is no exception. The song and video have been out for months, but I just saw it and it's too awesome not to share.



Also too awesome not to share is the recreation of the video in a tiny office at Saturday Night Live, by Taran Killam and bunch of flashlights. It's remarkably accurate.

The Notebook Musical - This is Happening

omg guys, Nicholas Sparks, author of the Notebook and million other books designed to drag tears out of you, was on The Early Show yesterday and suddenly in the middle of talking about his latest soon to be in grocery stores everywhere paperback, the host just said "So 'The Notebook' is going to Broadway" and he just said "Yes" like this isn't news.

Well Mr. Sparks, this IS news. Not only is the book-turned movie being adapted for the stage, it's being adapted as a musical! So in the not too distant future, rain will pour on a bearded RyGos wannabe while he sing-fight-kisses the next Lea Michele in front of a packed house of Midwestern tourists. I don't know if I'm horrified or hypnotized by that idea.

In conclusion, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are the reigning champions of the MTV Movie Awards Best Kissed Acceptance, so suck it Twi-hards.

ps. UPDATE: It turns out this musical was presented as a work-in-progress two years ago, and the music will be war-time era american standard and swing, bluegrass, and gospel.
