Drunk History of Christmas

As a special holiday treat for Plus1Press, the powers that be have combined two of our very favorite things: Ryan Gosling and Drunk History.

I haven't watched this yet, because I can't get caught watching a five minute video and giggling at the job that I like, but I can write a fast sneaky blog post while giggling on the inside.

But I'm sure it's great.

The Notebook Musical - This is Happening

omg guys, Nicholas Sparks, author of the Notebook and million other books designed to drag tears out of you, was on The Early Show yesterday and suddenly in the middle of talking about his latest soon to be in grocery stores everywhere paperback, the host just said "So 'The Notebook' is going to Broadway" and he just said "Yes" like this isn't news.

Well Mr. Sparks, this IS news. Not only is the book-turned movie being adapted for the stage, it's being adapted as a musical! So in the not too distant future, rain will pour on a bearded RyGos wannabe while he sing-fight-kisses the next Lea Michele in front of a packed house of Midwestern tourists. I don't know if I'm horrified or hypnotized by that idea.

In conclusion, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are the reigning champions of the MTV Movie Awards Best Kissed Acceptance, so suck it Twi-hards.

ps. UPDATE: It turns out this musical was presented as a work-in-progress two years ago, and the music will be war-time era american standard and swing, bluegrass, and gospel. Also, one of the composers is the girl One Tree Hill who always sings. Leaning more towards horror. but still pretty hypnotized. Here's the official website: The Notebook Musical

Ryan Gosling gives Clooney a wet willy and other great gifs

At the Ides of March Premiere.
Face he made when his name is announced at Golden Globes.
Great scene in Remember the Titans.

Also if you aren't watching Parks and Recreation yet, allow me to try to convince you once again, with this delight:

Jonah Hill has Beef with Mr. Schu

Jonah Hill is kind of on a roll right now. He's super skinny, and loving it. He has a movie coming out this weekend with definite Oscar potential (I'm seeing it in the next 30 hours, if you're interested), not to mention Brad Pitt. He's starring in his own movie later this fall that looks hilarious. And he is still wicked funny.

Oh, afraid he's not funny, because he's skinny? Wrong. See below. Watch both parts. Try not to choke on your laughter like JV did.

The first 4 minutes are also funny, like getting faked out on a Randy Jackson hug. But if you want just the beef go straight to the 4th minute.

Second half, only gets funnier. This is when he really gets mad.

"Yo Matthew Morrison, you better bring your shit next time I see you, dude. I'd like to see him sing his way out of this one."

Let's hope when these two finally meet up, Ryan Gosling is there to stop the fight.

The Amazing Spiderman Official Trailer

Comic-Con is almost upon us so all sorts of projects hoping to appeal to the geeky masses are releasing footage. The Dark Knight Rises trailer played before Harry Potter. Hunger Games has a new poster. And now the official trailer for The Amazing Spiderman is online. The reboot has a new director, new actors and a darker vision, that is reported to include more practical effects as opposed to CG effects, which makes the last 30 seconds of the trailer a little unfortunate, as they look more like a videogame than the excellent and low-tech exploding cafe scene in Inception. But I have faith. Mostly because how can two talented, good looking, super human beings do wrong?

See for yourself:

What do you think?

ps. Ryan Gosling is willing to lift anyone over his head as long as they'll do their part in the lift. Even Al Roker.
pps. yes, I included that link just so I could have as many of favorite lables as possible on this post. in fairness, that man cardigan is sick.

Justin Timberlake is better than Mozart

Justin Timberlake is just better than anyone else. This past weekend he hosted the season finale of SNL with the highest ratings in seven years, with a little help from musical guest Gaga.

Below is a scene from the dress rehearsal, that didn't even air. Probably because of the Beiber joke near the end...so funny, but maybe too funny for tv.

F*ck Yeah, Ryan Gosling

So, Ryan Gosling's the shit right? Okay.

Exploiting the fact that he's wicked hot and also the star of one of the most sob-worthy romantic films of the century, Fuck Yeah, Ryan Gosling takes pictures of him from photo shoots and whatnot and creates hysterical bylines for them. Some are genius, usually the ones that are holiday themed are great.
