Kim Jong-il

I know very little about Kim Jong-il and have done no further research for this post.

No one knows exactly when Kim Jong-il was born. Kim Jong-il's father was also the supreme leader of North Korea. Kim Jong-il was afraid of flying so he took trains to travel long distances. Kim Jong-il loved lobster. When Kim Jong-il died in December his body was carried through the streets in a car that had a billboard of his face ontop of it. This is the picture they used.

The Beatles Saturday Morning Cartoon

From 1965 to 1969 The Beatles had a Saturday Morning Cartoon. The episodes are about five and a half minutes long and have The Beatles trying to practice a song and being held up. The Show is famous a little extra bit because it was the first animated weekly show to depict living characters. Schweet. The Beatles did not provide the voices for The Show and the imitations are not spot on. The episode for "A Hard Days Night" has John, Paul, George, and Ringo trek to a Haunted Castle to  practice. Wacky Haunted Castle things ensue. Like a Skull Drum. And a Ghost Sheet.

When The Show came out each Beatle got animated for his own poster.

My favorite Beatles song is "Eight Days a Week". The episode for "Eight Days a Week" is great. Paul gets romantically involved with a Movie Producer/Gangster's Girl.

Also, did you know "Sweet Caroline" is about Caroline Kennedy? It is.

Bambi Meets Godzilla

Bambi Meets Godzilla was made in 1969 and is considered amazing, by me.

Also, Disney announced that they will be 3D'ng a few more classics. Beauty and the Beast will hit theaters on January 13, 2012. Finding Nemo will come back on September 14, 2012. Monsters Inc. and The Little Mermaid will come out in 2013 with Monsters in January and Ariel in September. Now if only they could get started on Peter Pan and Mulan.

Michael Myers, the artist

I was on Pinterest. I came accross Daniel Alarcon Jr. He had just posted a tattoo, Pinterest is awesome for looking at tattoos, and I loved the board. Checking out his other boards I saw that he had one dedicated to posters. My favorite was the minimalist The Flash poster. Some internet detectiving later I learned Michael Myers the artist had created the Flash poster.

I also learned that Michael Myers the artist is really awesome. He made animated versions of the LOST characters, AMAZING. Also awesome Zach Galifianakis as a zombie. And the best Star Wars posters ever. He even gives Lex Luthor a poster.

Nala Sexy Face

Today myself and a few others saw The Lion King 3D in theaters and it was amazing (obviously). One part that stuck out as hilarious and kind of awkward was when Nala put on her sexy face during "Can You Feel the Love Tonight."

One Google search later, turns out there is an entire community dedicated to Nala and "the LOOK." They call themselves Nalaholics. The internet never ceases to amaze me.

Speed Read Harry Potter

Just stumbled across some totally sweet cartoons by Lucy Knisley. She is super funny and talented, but I got quickly side tacked by her 1-frame Harry Potter summaries. She has one for each book and they're pretty great.

Here's my favorite HP book in one hilarious frame. Check it out in full size and see the rest here.

Also she re-imagined Harry Potter as a late 80s movie/early 90s tv show. Saved by the Spell or Accio to the Future. Here's a clip of that.

I'm anticipating a slew of Harry Potter related madness in the coming months til part2 comes out.

p.s. here is a even newer even sweeter X Men trailer

I Love (the) LeBron(s)

LeBron James recently premiered his animated YouTube show The LeBrons.
I'm loving it so far.
All the characters represent a different side to LeBron; Kid, Athlete, Biz, and the old Wise man.In the first episode Biz, the character LeBron voices, hires a lion to protect Kid.
And the animation looks like it could be in the same world as a glossy Family Guy.
